Solomon Omogboye

Born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1982, Solomon Omogboye is a renowned painter and art instructor. His artistic journey began in childhood, encouraged by his mother, a teacher. 

 *Education* – Lagos State Polytechnic, HND in Art and Industrial Design (Painting), 2007 

 *Awards and Recognition* – AADS Best Artist of the Year, 2007 

 *Artistic Experience* With over 15 years of experience, Solomon has worked extensively as an art instructor in Lagos secondary schools and maintained a home studio. In 2014, he relocated to South Africa, where he currently practices at August House Studios, Johannesburg. 

 *Artistic Style and Medium* Solomon’s paintings reflect his thoughts, inspirations, and ideas, using primarily charcoal, pastel, acrylic, and oil on canvas. His work combines beauty and statement-making, exploring various themes. 

 *Exhibition and Collections* Solomon’s work has garnered significant local and international attention, solidifying his position among Nigeria’s leading young artists. 

 *Current Practice* Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, Solomon continues to create thought-provoking art from his studio at August House Studios.
