Rob Le Roux Freedom Challenge in aid of Children’s Burns Unit.

In June 2023 I began a mountain bike challenge across our beautiful country.

But unfortunately, due to illness, I was forced to withdraw before finishing the event.
I asked people to follow my progress in support of the crisis of child burn injuries and requested donations towards the building of a state of the art Burn Unit at Greys Hospital, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa (https://burncare.co.za/) (https://goo.gl/maps/rjEjQCKpsWaLei8f9), and a chance to make a real difference in the lives of children in need.
Although I am not able to continue my journey through the amazing communities and beautiful people that make up rural South Africa, the trauma of children suffering traumatic burns every day still exists and I would like to continue highlighting this as long as possible and raise the much needed funds to alleviate some of their suffering.
The Smile Foundation is a non-profit organisation that assists with raising awareness funding for hospitals who provide critical support and resources to children who have suffered from burn injuries.
