Smile Padel Tournament – Padel & Social

This was our 1st Padel Tournament, which became a delightful social event on a perfect evening. We had 30 teams (2 players each), including 6 sponsored by Sasfin. Our main goal was to engage local corporate entities to foster connections and identify potential donors. While the event may not raise significant funds, we will seek additional fundraising strategies. In honor of Mandela Day, all participants contributed items for Smile mom & children care packs.

Women’s Day Breakfast – Killarney Golf Club

World Sports Betting was our main sponsor, supplying impressive prizes and the spinning wheel for successful raffle draws. Numerous prizes were awarded throughout the morning, which featured renowned guest speakers and a talented singer who energised the audience. Overall, it was a successful event that we plan to hold annually. We will need to develop strategies to enhance our fundraising efforts on the day moving forward.

Art Auction – 10 Bompas Hotel

Smile Foundation is collaborating with August House to host an auction with 20 young aspiring artists. The money raised from the live auction will be split between Smile and the artist.

Movie Night – Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens

We will host our 3rd movie night at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. This event has been highly successful in the past, attracting between 800 and 1,200 attendees. It features a children’s play area, food trucks, and raffle ticket prizes. This year, we plan to introduce a Christmas market that will operate from 8:00 AM. A percentage of the profits from the market will be donated to our foundation.
