Smile Foundation is looking for a new Smile Character for our magical world of Smile.
We’d love for you, South Africa, to get involved by submitting your own drawing of what you would like our new character to look like.
Anyone with a knack for drawing can get involved!
You could win:
Share your character design with us and stand a chance to WIN a brand new MacBook Pro M2 worth R25 000 or a cash prize to the same value.
Your smile guardian should:
- be fun, friendly and memorable
- have an easy-to-remember name
- be absolutely loved by children
- have a South African flavour but must also be easily recognisable to the rest of the world
- be completely unique and animal-like but does not have to be specific to any species
- embody the characteristics of Smile Foundation (helpful, caring, positive and accepting of everyone)
How to Enter:
- Draw/paint/design your Smile Character on A4 paper
- If you don’t have a digital version of your Smile Character, you can scan your creation into jpeg format (no less than 300dpi and no more than 600dpi)
- Fill out the form below
- Upload your artwork and hold thumbs

Competition runs from 1 July to 31 August 2022.
All drawings must be uploaded at smilefoundationsa.org by 14h00 on 31 August 2022.
Winner will be announced on social media by 15 September 2022.
